Matters Coffee is looking for an awesome barista! We are a Specialty Coffee Roaster located in the hudson valley with a simple mission:
move coffee forward.

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies - Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register or POS system - Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations - Prepare and serve food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and salads - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies - Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of food and beverages - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred - Knowledge of digital POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus - Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers - Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals - Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
